well-being and self-cultivation through art
I look into different ways in how art - such as visual, movement, literary, and other expressive forms - can help one's general wellness and creative practice. I believe that the arts is a life companion and it is integral to one's self-cultivation and personal-professional journey. I can share something about it through this video by Creative Pickings, which was recorded in 2019: |
arts and disability projects
I enjoy doing online and face-to-face projects in working with artists with disabilities. In the past 18 years, I organized creative productions, exhibits, festivals and pop-up events that bring forward disability arts and uphold diversity, equity, inclusion and access in the arts. I collaborate with individuals and small groups from children to adults, and I also work alongside parents, teachers and other people supporting a person with disability. Please see this video: |
speaking about different arts-related topics
Reflections from my work has shared with me so much wisdom in my journey and I align with a lot of arts-based advocacies that intersect with social justice work. I can help in planning, organizing, branding, and building on valuable messages to get our message across. See this 50-minute podcast where artists Cathy Lasam-Ballo, Carmel Torres, and I talk about why art is important in education, as part of the podcast series under Artguro Philippines! |
